This month marks five years since we opened the doors of Revival Dermatology in Preston Center. In addition to sharing a letter of gratitude to our patients, we wanted to share a fuller look at what these five years have held, the people who have joined us, the care we have been able to provide, and the practice we have built together.

Why We Opened Revival Dermatology
After practicing dermatology in a number of different environments over a combined thirty years, we wanted to create something of our own. We wanted a space designed with intention, in the heart of the community where we live and raise our family, where our patients would be cared for just as we would care for a dear friend or family member.
“I had spent years practicing in spaces that someone else designed,” Dr. Lisa Pruett says. “When we finally had the opportunity to begin from nothing, I knew exactly what I wanted our patients to experience from the moment they walked in. Every inch of this office was a decision we made on purpose.”
“What has meant the most to me over these five years is the continuity,” Dr. Jon Pruett says. “We see the same families year after year. We watch children grow up. That relationship is what drew both of us to dermatology in the first place, and it is what a physician-owned practice allows us to protect.”
Revival Dermatology remains family owned and led by board-certified dermatologists. Physician-owned practices are increasingly uncommon in today’s healthcare landscape, and we believe our patients feel the difference in the quality of care, the continuity of that care, and the time we are able to spend together.

Revival Dermatology – Planning Stages, Treatment Room Before & After
Five Years of Caring for Our Community
Since opening our doors, we have had the privilege of caring for nearly 28,000 patients.
During that time, we have diagnosed and treated more than 1,000 skin cancers — approximately 200 each year, many of them detected early during routine skin checks. We have also provided more than 5,500 acne treatments to patients of all ages, including many teenagers and young adults for whom clearer skin brings a meaningful change in confidence.
We are grateful as well for the 415 patients who have taken the time to leave us a Google review, resulting in a 4.9-star rating. When we read through them, the same themes appear again and again: professionalism, depth of knowledge, kindness, efficiency, and a genuinely friendly team. We do not take a single one of those reviews for granted.
Our Growing Team
Revival Dermatology opened with two board-certified dermatologists and one aesthetician. Today, our team includes three board-certified dermatologists, a physician assistant, and three aestheticians.
Aesthetician Jacqueline Diaz joined us in 2022. Dr. Amanda Champlain came aboard in 2023. In 2025, aesthetician Elenna Velez joined our aesthetic team, and this year we welcomed Gracie Erturkuner, PA-C, to the practice.
Supporting all of us is a professional and kind front and back office team led by our office manager, Michal, whom we have worked alongside for nearly two decades.
“I knew this wasn’t going to be just another job for me,” Michal says. “I wanted to work for someone who was passionate about dermatology and had a clear vision for what the company would stand for. I wanted to be part of a boutique dermatology practice, somewhere compassionate that truly valued and cared for each individual patient. And I wanted to help build a team of employees who shared those same values.”
Michal sees our patients in our neighborhood nearly every day, and many of their children attend school with his own children. He enjoys being able to keep up with patients out in the community, not just when they come in for an appointment.
We should also mention a part of our team that patients may not think much about: our awesome medical assistants. Each of our medical assistants is a dermatology specialist, and we have hired for that experience deliberately. An experienced dermatology MA notices things that someone new to the specialty would not, and that expertise quietly shapes the quality of every visit.

Building a Comprehensive Practice
From the beginning, our goal has been to offer comprehensive care for the whole family — whether you are visiting us for a skin cancer screening, an acute or chronic rash, acne, or a cosmetic treatment you have been considering for some time.
Over the past five years, we have carefully selected the cosmetic lasers and devices in our treatment rooms. Each one was chosen for a specific purpose, and each is used under the direction of board-certified dermatologists who understand how skin functions at its best and at its worst.
For resurfacing and photofacials. Our Sciton JouleX platform — which includes BBL, Halo, ProFractional, and Erbium laser resurfacing — is our workhorse, covering everything from no-downtime photofacials to more aggressive resurfacing. We added the Cynosure Lutronic Ultra because we wanted a nonablative laser capable of excellent resurfacing results with less downtime. Cosmetic dermatology →
For skin tightening and contouring. XERF is the newest technology in this category, delivering radiofrequency energy with no needles and no downtime. Morpheus8 is our choice for radiofrequency microneedling, offering more tightening than a laser alone. Three years ago, we brought in Ellacor, a scarless skin removal and tightening device, and we remain the only dermatology practice in DFW offering it.
For collagen stimulation. SkinPen is our choice for microneedling, a collagen-stimulating treatment with minimal downtime.
For pigmentation. PicoSure Pro is our newest addition, selected to better treat hyperpigmentation across all skin types, to offer an even more effective option for melasma, and because it can also treat tattoos.
For redness and visible vessels. DermaV, our vascular laser, helps us better address redness and vessels in the skin.
For laser hair removal. Clarity II, because we wanted a device that could safely and effectively treat all skin types.
For facial treatments. DiamondGlow and Glo2, and we have since upgraded our Glo2 with radiofrequency for an even more elevated treatment with no downtime.
We have also retired two devices along the way. Evoke and EvolveX both served our patients well, and both have since been replaced by technology that has evolved and we believe serves them better. Curating a practice means letting go of things, too.
The same approach guides our injectables. Our physicians are experienced injectors of wrinkle relaxers and other cosmetic injectable products, and we continue to evaluate new options carefully before bringing them into the practice.
Looking Ahead
It remains important to us to stay at the forefront of medical and cosmetic dermatology and bring those advances to our Dallas patients. With so much conflicting advice on social media, we want Revival to be the place our patients can come for honest, evidence-based answers, and where every patient feels like part of our family rather than a number.
As we celebrate five years of welcoming you through our doors, we thank you for choosing Revival Dermatology, for trusting us with your care, and for referring our practice to others. As a family owned practice, we look forward to many more years of serving you and your families.
