Dr. Amanda Champlain is a board-certified dermatologist and Harvard-fellowship trained expert in laser and cosmetic dermatology.  She loves having the opportunity to form relationships with patients, understand their unique concerns, and create holistic and customized treatments to help them achieve their desired outcomes.  She practices the full-spectrum of medical and cosmetic dermatology, with particular interest in acne, rosacea, melasma, hair loss, scar treatment, birthmark treatment, laser procedures, facial rejuvenation, and minimally-invasive body contouring.  She is committed to remaining on the cutting edge of her field in order to provide patients with the best options to restore skin health and rejuvenate their appearance.  

A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Champlain earned a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oklahoma and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.  Subsequently, she completed an internship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, a Clinical Research Fellowship in the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University, and dermatology residency training at Loyola University in Chicago.  She was then selected for the Harvard Laser and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine in Boston, where she trained with world-renowned experts in the fields of laser surgery and aesthetic dermatology.  

Dr. Champlain has an extensive background in clinical and basic science research.  She has participated in numerous clinical trials to research novel therapies for acne, psoriasis, skin cancer, eczema, and autoimmune disease.  She has conducted research to study platelet-rich plasma, skin scarring and skin tissue harvesting, and new laser technologies and treatments.  She is regularly an invited speaker and teacher at national dermatology and aesthetic meetings, and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).   Dr. Champlain lives in Dallas with her husband Chad, and their two young daughters Georgia Kate and Caroline.
